Day 01Bagdogra Airport – Darjeeling

On arriving at the airport, you shall be received by our representative and get transferred to your hotel. Darjeeling Here’s what’s in store for you. Standing high in the Himalayas at an altitude of 2134 metres, ‘Dorje Ling’, or place of the Thunderbolt, offers breathtaking views of snow-capped mountain peaks, with the Kanchenjunga rising higher than all the others. Often referred to as the ‘Queen of the Hills’, Darjeeling remains just as alluring with its tiny waterfalls, little villages and a narrow gauge railway track. Surrounded by World Famous Tea Gardens and snow-capped mountains, Darjeeling remains one of the most exotic destinations. Graeme Westlake in his book ‘An Introduction to Hill Stations on India’ refers to Darjeeling as having “A view Scarcely Unrivaled on Earth”. In the evening Spend the evening in shopping and individual activity. Mall and Local Market.

Day 2Darjeeling

Early morning, start for Tiger Hill… It has a panoramic view of Mount Everest and Mount Kanchenjunga together. Ghoom Monastery… Old Ghoom Monastery is the popular name of Yiga Choeling. The monastery belongs to the Gelukpa or the Yellow Hat sect and is known for its 15 feet-high statue of the Maitreya Buddha. Batashia Loop War Memorial… Batasia Loop a War Memorial stands. This memorial was constructed by the District Sainik Board, Darjeeling in commemoration of the brave Gorkha Soldiers, who sacrificed their life to protect the sovereignty of the Nation since independence. This memorial was sanctified on 22nd March, 1995. Local people throng here to seel handicrafts and woolen items for tourists. Have breakfast at the hotel followed by a half-day local sightseeing covering Padmaja N. Zoological Garden… Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park is a 67.56-acre zoo in the town of Darjeeling in the Indian state of West Bengal. The zoo was opened in 1958, and an average elevation of 7,000 feet, is the largest high altitude zoo in India. (closed on Thursday),Himalayan Mountaineering Institute… The Himalayan Mountaineering Institute was established in Darjeeling, India on 4 November 1954 to encourage mountaineering as an organized sport in India. (closed on Thursday), Tibetan Refugee Self-help Center… Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center in Darjeeling, India is a rehabilitation center for the Tibetan refugees in the Darjeeling Himalayan hill region. It was established on 2 October 1959, after they followed Dalai Lama and escaped from Tibet. The production of Tibetan handicraft is the center’s main activity. (closed on Sunday) and visit to the Mall and Local Market (closed on Thursday). Spend the evening in shopping and individual activity.

Day 3Darjeeling – Kalimpong – Pelling

After Breakfast at your hotel, check-out and drive to Pelling (140 Kms) en-route visit Kalimpong. In the evening, arrive at your Pelling for a comfortable overnight stay in Pelling. At an altitude of 1250 metres, Kalimpong’s location is ideal for a pleasant, relaxed getaway. Its clement weather has made Kalimpong’s orchids and gladiole well renowned. Up to the early 1700s, the Kalimpong area was part of the Sikkim raja’s domain. In the early 18th century, the Bhutan king also took it over. In 1865, after the Anglo-Bhutan War , it was annexed to Darjeeling. Scottish Missionaries came here in the late 1800s. The town thrived as a wool trading center with Tibet till 1950s. Today it’s a quiet hill resort and a haven for retired people. Sightseeing tour of Kalimpong, visiting Zang Dog Palri Fo-Brang Monastery, Tharpa Choling Monastery, Thongsa Gumpa and Flower Nurseries.
Deolo Hill… is one of the two hills that the town of Kalimpong stands between. Kalimpong is situated on a ridge connecting the two hills, Durpin and Delo. The hill is 1,704 metres above msl and is the highest point of Kalimpong town. The hill is located north east of the town.
Zang Dog Palri Fo-Brang Monastery… Zang Dhok Palri Phodang is a Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Kalimpong in West Bengal, India. The monastery is located atop Durpin Hill, one of the two hills of the town. It was consecrated in 1976 by the visiting Dalai Lama.

Day 4Pelling

After breakfast proceed for city tour visiting Pemayangste Monastery, Rabtense Ruins, Khechipalri Lake, Kanchenjunga Fall and Rambi Falls Ground.
Pelling… is a small town in the northeastern Indian state of Sikkim, at the foothills of Mount Khangchendzonga. The late-17th-century Buddhist Sanga Choling Monastery has mountain views. Pemayangtse Monastery features wall paintings, sculptures and a gold-plated statue of Guru Padsambhava. Overlooking a valley, the 17th-century Rabdentse Palace, now in ruins, still has evidence of the king’s bedroom and kitchen.
Pemayangste Monastery… The Pemayangtse Monastery is a Buddhist monastery in Pemayangtse, near Pelling in the northeastern Indian state of Sikkim, located 110 km west of Gangtok. Planned, designed and founded by Lama Lhatsun Chempo in 1647, it is one of the oldest and premier monasteries of Sikkim, also the most famous in Sikkim.Rabtense Ruins… Rabdentse Ruins is the archeological site that tells Sikkim’s story of glory. Until 1814 A.D, it was the second capital of Sikkim, established by the Chogyal II.
Khechipalri Lake… Khecheopalri Lake, originally known as Kha-Chot-Palri, is a lake located near Khecheopalri village, 147 kilometres west of Gangtok in the West Sikkim district of the Northeastern Indian state of Sikkim.
Rambi Falls … You will run over the spouting stream of white that is the Rambi Waterfall on your approach to Khechopalri and Yuksam. It is a grand common setup loaded with normal excellence. The waterfall is a huge one and is encased by lavish greenery. Spending a hour at this area is an awesome method to have a good time in Pelling. The beautiful setting makes for a magnificent photography spot as well. It feels exceptionally pleasure and enjoyful minutes while going by here. Tourist come from all over the world to visit and enjoy this waterfall. You can also visit, explore and experience more.

Day 5Pelling – Gangtok

After Breakfast at your hotel, drive to Gangtok. At an altitude of 1750m, Gangtok became the state capital in the mid-19th century and has undergone rapid development since then. The downtown area is dominated by huge government buildings decorated with traditional Buddhist symbols. Gangtok is also a resting ground for people traveling to North Sikkim. Surrounded by Monasteries and Orchids, Gangtok is truly a traveller’s delight. In the afternoon, if time permit proceed for a sightseeing tour in Gangtok, visit Do Drul Chorten, Namgyal Institute of Tibetology (closed on Sundays), Cottage Industry (closed on Sundays), Flower Show Complex and Rumtek Monastery. 
Do Drul Chorten… Do-drul Chorten is a stupa in Gangtok in the India in state of Sikkim. The stupa was built by Trulshik Rinpoche, head of the Nyingma order of Tibetan Buddhism in 1945. Inside this stupa is a complete set of Dorjee Phurba, Kangyur and other religious objects. Around the stupa are 108 Mani Lhakor or prayer wheels.
Namgyal Institute of Tibetology… Namgyal Institute of Tibetology is a Tibet museum in Gangtok, Sikkim, India, named after the 11th Chogyal of Sikkim, Sir Tashi Namgyal. Cottage Industry… The Directorate of Handicrafts and Handlooms was established in the year 1957 by the Chogyal of SIkkim with the purpose of promoting and preserving the fine tradtional arts and crafts of Sikkim It is a storehouse of hand-woven woolen carpets with traditional motifs, blankets,shawls and exquisitely carved `Choktse’ or table and many other gifts items. Shoppers will find the Directorate of Handicrafts and Handlooms a most convinient place to catch up on their Souvenir hunting. Flower Show Complex… Flower Exhibition Centre, which is situated in Gangtok, showcases flowers from the different parts of Sikkim together under a single roof which makes it a heaven for all the nature lovers. Located right across the White Memorial Hall and below the Ridge Park, it lies at a walking distance from the MG Marg. Though the flowers are displayed here all through the year, the annual flower show which is held from April to May should not be missed out on as during this time, the management gathers here and presents numerous varieties of orchids along with other flowers from around the state. Participants from the neighbouring states are invited to be a part of the annual flower contest held in the premises by the Government of Sikkim.

Day 06Gangtok - Tsomgo Lake – Gangtok

After breakfast at the hotel, go for a full-day excursion to Changu Lake which is 35 km from Gangtok, and at an altitude of 12,400 feet. The lake derives its waters from melting snows off the surrounding mountains Legends has it that lamas could forecast the future by studying the colour of the lake’s waters. Also visit Baba Mandir. Later, return to your hotel Spend the evening at leisure. 
Tsomgo Lake… Tsomgo Lake, also known as Tsongmo Lake or Changu Lake, is a glacial lake in the East Sikkim district of the Indian state of Sikkim, some 40 kilometres from the capital Gangtok. Located at an elevation of 3,753 m, the lake remains frozen during the winter season. Baba Mandir… Memorial & temple honoring Indian army soldier, folk hero & saint Baba Harbhajan Singh.

Day 07Gangtok – Bagdogra Airport
