On Arrival in Bhuj Airport / Train station. A member of our local team will receive you. Or an appointed driver who will take care of your transfer and check-in at the hotel. Bhuj is the center of Kutch & you can explore the entire region from this point. Our stay at Bhuj shall be of seven days. And each day of the day is curated to your interest.
After freshen up, you shall meet our local representative. He will share information on the life of the Kutch region and go through all the essential information you need to know, such as local customs, safety, transport, money exchange etc. He’ll go through your itinerary for the next seven day and answer the questions you may have. You will learn more about your tour, and if you are with the group, you shall familiarize yourself with your travel companions.
During this tour, you shall visit, The Aina Mahal, 18th-century palace built by Rao Lakhpatji of Cutch region. The Prag Mahal, a 19th-century castle located next to the Aina Mahal. And Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, a Beautiful architecture built in white marble. It is one of the six temples built by Lord Swaminarayan sect.
You have many interesting sites on our list. Kamgarim (Than monetary) is the place to see paintings on the wall. Nirona Village is known as The handicraft Village. Here you shall see and understand Traditional ROGAN art, Hand woollen Shawls, Leatherwork, embroidery, & Copper Bell making. Gandhi noo Gam (village) is there on our visit list. This place was redeveloped after an earthquake with a holistic, participatory approach to maintain the socio-cultural traditions and local building systems as you’ll as improving economic conditions and opportunities & Ludiya is undoubtedly one of the loveliest towns with an area of 5 square km with the population of around 2000 people.
There will include two full-day tours with authentic traditional lunch of this region. You shall visit Bhujodi a significant textile centre of Kutch, with the majority of the local community involved in textile handicraft, like weaving, tie-dye and block printing. You can also watch them working on their task. Another worth visiting place is called Kukma or Kookma, the prime weaving centre of kuchchh. Sumrashar to visit Kala Raksha, a non- earnings organization of a variety of communities. The main focus is on to preserve and encourage Kutch arts and specializes in embroidery. It has a small museum with around 600 craftsmen from different localities. Hodak This cultural village lies in the Banni Grassland, right on the edge of the excellent salt desert– the Rann. The town is a cluster of homes positioned near each other. 7 to 8 households live in a group. The village is famous for its craft like decorative mirrors, lights, hand fans, letterboxes, wall hanging, leather, clay, wood, metal and mud work specifically the charming silver jewellery. The craftsmen sell their items directly from their creative huts which are commonly understood as Bhungas. One of the evenings shall be at the elegant Rann of Kutch (white desert). The Rann of Kutch is a marshy salt land in the Thar Desert in the Kutch district of western Gujarat. It lies between Gujarat in India and the Sindh province in Pakistan. It comprises of around 30,000 sq. km of land which includes The Great Rann of Kutch, The Little Rann of Kutch and Banni grassland. The Rann of Kutch is famous for its white salty desert sand and is reputed to be the largest salt desert in the world.
Within the close periphery of Bhuj, the are some villages with our particular interest. Ajrakhpur is known for the art of Ajrakh; block printing uses colours stemmed from nature, such as indigo, henna, turmeric, pomegranate, iron and mud. Sometimes, the materials are cleaned up to 20 times. The printing blocks are hand-carved. The procedure is complicated and involves 16 different processes. Dhamakada is also a significant center of the ajrakh block-printing strategy and Bhujpur for watching the work of tie-dye, block-printing, silverwork, Natural colour work. You shall spend one of the evenings at Mandvi Beach, a clean, quiet and beautiful place with less crowd.
The tour of Bhuj is incomplete without a visit to Dholavira, The lost civilization. The site of a large city in the Harappan times. Around 4000 years ago, it was one of the mega cities of its time. It is located at a distance of 230 KM from Bhuj. On the way, you will cross 7 km road stretching across Rann of Kutch Lake. This will be a whole day tour from Bhuj.
Kutch has many more exciting places other than mentioned. If time permits, you can also visit Kutch Fossil park, Kalo Dungar, Hunnarshala, Nakhatrana, Deshalpar and some significant temples. And very important, you won’t miss the opportunity to enjoy famous Jalebi, Fafda & Dabeli of Kutch. All this with some good time for Photography and shopping.

Rise and shine at early hours. After an early breakfast, you do check out and leave for Ahmedabad by a comfortable a/c coach if you are travelling in a group or by comfortable a/c car. The distance between Bhuj and Ahmedabad is 340 km with the probable travel time of 7 to 8 hrs. If you wish to travel by train, it is very much possible, subject to seat availability in the desired class. But travelling by road is an experience in itself. You can see some local village life en-route. On arrival in Ahmedabad, you do check into the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure to relax and unwind.

Modhera, 2.5 hrs drive from Ahmedabad is famous for its spectacular Sun Temple, built in the early 11th century by the Solanki dynasty. The Sun Temple is unique in that it has three separate but integrated elements, all aligned to a central axis. Patan is much older than Modhera, having been founded in 746 AD. In the 13th century, Patan fell to invasion by the Delhi Sultanate and was destroyed. Some monuments had survived including the spectacular Rani ni Vav (stepwell) which was buried under earth until 1986 when it was cleared and restored. It is entirely an underground structure, with seven-storied, each carved with amazing sculptures of gods and goddesses. As you go lower, it gets colder and cooler. Patan is also known for famous patola weaving. Here, you can also visit a weaving centre and see the beautiful patola weave with its geometrical intricacy.
Within Ahmedabad boundaries, you shall visit Gandhi Ashram Sabarmati Ashram is located in the Sabarmati suburb of Ahmedabad, Gujarat, adjoining the Ashram Road, on the banks of the River Sabarmati. This was one of the many residences of Mahatma Gandhi who lived at Sabarmati and Sewagram when he was not travelling across India. Siddi Syed Mosque is popularly known as Sidi Sayyid Ni Jali locally, built-in 1572-73 AD, is one of the most famous mosques. Explore Lothal, one of the most prominent cities of the ancient Indus valley civilization. It is one of India most important archaeological sites. Discovered in 1954, Lothal was excavated from February 13, 1955, to May 19, 1960, by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). Lothal city had a trade between Harappan cities in Sindh and the peninsula of Saurashtra when the surrounding Kutch desert of today was a part of the Arabian Sea. It was a vital and thriving trade center in ancient times, with its trade of beads, gems and valuable ornaments reaching the far corners of West Asia and Africa. Lothal people were responsible for the earliest-known portrayals of realism in art and sculpture, telling some of the most well-known fables of today. Its scientists used a shell compass and divided the horizon and sky into 8–12 whole parts, possibly pioneering the study of stars and advanced navigation—2000 years before the Greeks. The techniques and tools they pioneered for bead-making and in metallurgy have stood the test of time for over 4000 years.

Apart from textiles, the museum also has galleries with temple hangings, sculptures, crafts and religious textiles on display. The textiles are so important that they are even used as a part of the curriculum at the National School of Design.
