Itinerary

Day 01Cochin – Munnar

Welcome to Arrive at Cochin airport we proceed for Munnar (125 Kms).
Kerala’s and probably India’s most popular hill resort situated at 1600 mt above sea level. Virgin forests, savannah, rolling hills, scenic valleys, numerous streams, huge, splashy waterfalls, sprawling tea plantations and winding walkways are all part of this awesome Hill station. English country cottages are the Imprints of the colonial past which stand tall in the Munnar town. It is such a beautiful place in Kerala, which cannot be portrayed in a single canvas.
On arrival, check into the hotel. Rest of the evening at leisure or enjoy a leisurely walk in a lush green surrounding tea estate.

Day 2Munnar

Today, after leisurely breakfast, you shall enjoy a scenic tour of the surrounding area. The first halt shall be at The Mattupetty. Here a vista of hills, Lake and lush green tea gardens lay before you as far as the eye could see. Here you can enjoy the scenic and sometimes thrilling speed boat ride. After a brief halt at Echo Point, you shall reach another nature’s gift to Munnar – a Kundala Lake. Surrounded by green valleys and majestic landscapes, this serene Lake is a perfect halt for every photographer. Later a drive of 9.5 km through impressive landscapes of rolling tea gardens, you shall reach the Hidden gem of Munnar – Top Station. This stunning spot is one of Munnar’s most beautiful surprises, yet many tourists to explore it. You will explore the hidden beauty of this place and feel its exquisiteness in absolute peace. Later we return to our hotel.

Day 3Munnar

Today, after an early breakfast you leave for Eravikulam – Rajamala Wildlife Sanctuary. This place is a fantastic feast for nature lovers. And this is the site where you can get a chance to watch rare endangered Nilgiri Tahrs. Your next stop will be TATA’s welfare center for the mentally and physically challenged, A magical place high up in the tea gardens. Under this project, you can visit a center who creates natural dyes born from pigments in the leaves, seeds, flowers, and nuts found in the lush forests of Munnar and create naturally dyed fabrics. Tata Tea Museum and A century-old church, owing to its legacy to the British tea planters. In the evening you can shop a variety of Tea at KDHP sales outlet.

Day 4Munnar – Thekkady

After breakfast, your spice trail starts through tea estates, spice and rubber plantations to the exotic mountainous area of Periyar Wildlife Reserve, Thekkady. Situated at 3000 ft above sea level, it is an example of nature’s bounty, with great scenic charm. On arrival, Check into a resort. Post lunch we take up a guided tour to a spice plantation, where the guide will give you the knowledge about all the spice trees growing in the area. Next halt shall be for Spice Market. Here you will get ample time for shopping.

Day 5Thekkady

After Breakfast embarks on Boat for the cruise around the Periyar Lake to watch wildlife, the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary & National Park is a protected area and is widely known for its tiger & elephant reserves. This park has rich biodiversity and veritable visitor satisfaction. Sprawled over an area of 925 sq. km., Periyar is one of India’s 27 tiger reserves. Zealously guarded and efficiently managed national park is a source of rare, widespread and vanishing flora and fauna. It forms the major breaking point of two important rivers of Kerala, the Periyar and Pamba. Elephants are the most famous sightings of this boat safari. Come back to your hotel for lunch. The rest of the day is to to spend as you wish.

Day 06Thekkady – Kumarakom

After Breakfast, proceed for Kumarakom, an unbelievable beautiful paradise of mangrove forests, green paddy fields and coconut groves. A bird sanctuary is an ideal place for backwater cruises. Check into the luxury resort set amidst the backwaters.
After lunch and a short nap, your very own motorboat awaits you for leisurely day cruising the waterways. Here the stunning scenery and peacefulness make you feel as you are lost in a time warp. This part of the day is a perfect way for total relaxation and pure enjoyment of natural beauty. It will be a part of your holiday that you will never forget. After the Sunset, come back to your resort for dinner.

Day 07Kumarakom

Rise at early hours. After a cup of tea/coffee, leave for Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, which is among the country’s most popular bird-watching spots. Kumarakom is heaven for wetland birds, some of which are migratory and come from Siberia. You have the rest of day at leisure to relax and unwind or enjoy resort activities.

Day 08Kumarakom – Cochin

Today we proceed for Kochi – The queen of the Arabian sea. The most important trade centres along the spice coast. On arrival, Check into the hotel. post-lunch, time for a short nap. Later leave for jetty to enjoy a most popular Cochin harbour cruise. During this Harbour cruise, you shall visit Dutch Palace, St. Angelo’s church, Jew Synagogue, Spice market and Chinese fishing nets. In the evening you get a rare chance to watch Sunset from sea mouth. Rest of the evening is free for shopping on Broadway street and M G Road.

Day 09Cochin - Departure to Hometown

It’s time now to say goodbye! Kerala Tour guests will proceed to Cochin Airport as per the scheduled group flight departure time.
