On arrival at Leh Airport, You will be received from the Airport by a member of our local team. Or an appointed driver who will take care of your transfer and check-in at the hotel. We recommend you relax to enable yourselves acclimatize to the rarefied air of this remote region ensconced in the high Himalayan plateau.

After breakfast half-day tour of Leh city visiting Sangkar, Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace and Sindhu Point. Lunch and dinner at the hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel and later we leave for a full-day tour of Hemis Monastery, the biggest and the wealthiest in Ladakh. Before entering the complex from the east gate, we see the Chortens and the Mani Walls. After Hemis, we shall drive towards Thiksey Monastery, situated on a hilltop. It has an incredible view of the Indus Valley. After visiting the interiors of the monastery, the tour continues to Shey the former summer palace of the King of Ladakh. In the evening visit the Shanti Stupa (Japanese Temple) to view the sunset.

After breakfast, we get back on the road, this time towards Khardung La pass, which is the world’s highest motorable road in the world. Next is Nubra Valley, which lies to the North of Ladakh and is a beautiful place. Hunder is a place where high altitude desert sand dunes and double hump camels can be seen. Diskit has a gorgeous monastery. Camping will be in a luxurious but tented campsite. You will visit Diskit Monastery and enjoy a Double Humped Camel Ride (optional).

Rise at early hours. After a quick breakfast, we drive our way to Turtuk, a beautiful and peaceful village located just 12 kilometres from the Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) border. It is Known as erstwhile Baltistan; the place was under Pakistani control till 1971. Turtuk is known as the gateway of Siachen Glacier. From the top of the village, The snow-clad peaks of Mt. K2 are visible in the horizon. In the year 2010, Turtuk has been opened to tourists and is therefore still a hidden gem.
The natural beauty is the primary attraction of this small village. Turtuk in Balti literally means “a desire to stay”. A walk through the roads of Turtuk is delightful. The beauty of Apricot and Walnut farms all around, and silence of the place is unique. You can visit Thang, which about 2.2 kilometres before LOC, after which it is all Pakistan. Another place worth visiting is a small Buddhist Gompa, perched on a hillock about half an hour walk from the village. From here, you will get some astounding views which include the snow-clad K2 peak. The waterfall can also be visited, which is close to the gompa. Later tear your self from this beautiful place.

After leisurely breakfast, We start your return journey to Leh. It will be the second time you will drive past Khardungla pass, Yes – the World Uppermost Motorable road. On arrival in Leh, Evening is at leisure. Or explore Leh bazaar for on your own. Dinner at the hotel.

Rise and shine at early hours. After a cup of tea, at around 5 am, start your journey to Pangong Lake. You will drive past Changla pass which is located at an altitude of 5486 Mtrs. This part of the drive has a beautiful panoramic view of the villages below. We shall halt at Tsoltak for some quick bite and later drive further 90 minutes to reach famous blue brackish Lake of Pangong. The lake is 5/6 Kms wide, and over 144 Kms long with the eastern part of the lake falls in Tibet, China. This place’s beauty is beyond description, One rarely feels so close to nature. This part of the tour is unforgettable. After enjoying and drinking the beauty of the lake, we start our return journey for Leh. Late evening arrival in Leh.
Note: It’s likely that the government authorities may disallow overnight stays at Pangong for tourists. In such a situation, we will re-adjust the itinerary and have a day trip to Pangong. We will keep you updated regarding the same.

After breakfast leave for Alchi Gompa and Lamayuru Monastery… is a Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Lamayouro, Leh district, India. It is situated on the Srinagar-Leh highway 15 kilometres east of the Fotu La at the height of 3,510 metres. Today you can see Magnetic Hill, Sangam of river Indus and Zanskar, Gurudwara Shri Pathar Sahib and Hall of Fame museum, Alchi, Lamayuru Monastery. In the evening drive back to Leh for dinner.

It’s time now to say goodbye! Leh Ladakh Kargil Pangong Tour (IFLY) guests will proceed to Leh Airport as per the scheduled group flight departure time. Joining & Leaving (J&L) Tour guests can be dropped at Leh Airport along with scheduled group or they can have their own arrangements made for the return journey back home.
