The coastal part of North Kerala is popularly known as Malabar coast. Malabar is known for its charming Hill stations, renowned Beaches, Wildlife sanctuaries, Significant Temples, numerous Spice plantations, tranquil Backwaters and famous Bekal Fort.
And this tour is complemented with Coorg. A wonderful place with coffee plantations and spectacular views situated between Mysore & Malabar Coast.
As we are more than happy to lead you with this 8-days tour, you will visit Kasargod, Coorg, Wayanad and Calicut. Kasargod, it’s worth visiting for beautiful beaches, Kerala’s most massive Fort situated seafront, Tranquil backwater islands and Significant temples. Watching the sunset from the viewing gallery of Kerala largest Fort, Bekal Fort is a memorable experience. An excellent experience, as you embark on the backwater cruise led around the Valiyaparamb islands. When it’s evening time, we will relish Kerala’s delicacies at one of the islands.
Moreover, we will visit Madikeri, a hill town in Coorg where your heart would overflow with joy at the Abby falls. Among the other tourist attractions, the Dubare Elephant camp can be great fun.
Recognized as ‘The Land of fields’, Wayanad is the place where you can view different species of animals at the Tholpetty wildlife sanctuary. Way ahead, Sree Thirunelli Mahavishnu Temple built at an altitude of around 900 m. You will also enjoy a stroll around the natural freshwater lake, Pookode Lake and the wildlife safari in Muthanga. At Calicut, you will taste the famous Malabar Biryani and can buy famous Calicut halwa (sweet). Also visit the CVN Kalari Institute, which has been imparting training on the ‘Kalari Payyatu’, the ancient martial art form can be a unique experience.

On Arrival in Kasargod / Mangalore, you will be received by a member of our local team. Or an appointed driver who will take care of your transfer and check-in at the hotel. After freshen up and some rest you will get some good time for lunch. And later we start our guided tour with the first visit to Sri Anantha Padmanabha Swamy Lake Temple, this is the only lake temple of Kerala on a rectangular shaped lake. About Legends and myths – The obscure and myriad past of the temple sheds light on one solid fact that the temple premises were the meditation ground of the Tulu Brahmin sage, called Diwakara Muni Vilwamangalam. The legend says that the Lord Vishnu himself came to the sage in the form of a little child to test him. Next halt shall be at Anantheshwara Vinayaka Temple at Madhur and is located on the banks of River Madhuvahini. This temple Architecture is absolutely unique and totally different from the rest of the Kerala temple architecture. The sreekovil of this temple has a huge three tired ‘Gaja prishta’, the top two stories are covered with copper. The second and third storeys are also profuse with attractive and exquisite wood carvings. The main wooden pillars, inside the temple, are an example of the technical expertise and professionalism of the planners.
We conclude today’s tour at Kerala’s largest and best-preserved Bekal fort. This fort is raised on an amazing location. And it has been filmed in many of the Indian films. Take a leisurely walk around the fort to explore some attractions before you head to viewing gallery. Watching the sunset from the viewing gallery would be the most memorable experience of this tour. Later return to the hotel.

After breakfast, it’s a time for bathing in Sun, Sea and Surf. We leave for Pallikere Beach. This shallow beach is the swimmer’s paradise and offers a spectacular view of Bekal Fort. Later you head straight to the hotel for a wash and some rest. Post lunch we depart for a memorable backwater cruise around Valiyaparamb islands. This backwater stretch is perhaps the most scenic in Kerala fed by four rivers and dotted with numerous little islands. Some of Kerala’s authentic delicacies will be served as an evening snack on one of the islands. After spending some time enjoying the beauty and tranquility of this place and watching the sunset from the sea mouth, we return to the hotel.

Rise and shine at early hours to leave for Coorg / Kodagu. Madikeri – a hill station town in Coorg / Kodagu district & is the headquarters of the district of Kodagu. Coorg is famous for its trekking trails, austere sights, Riverside and Jungle Camping, great coffee plantations, the Kodavas, and the ethnic warrior locals of Coorg. Before checking into the resort, we visit Abby Falls. One of the famous attractions near Madikeri, Amidst the lush green surroundings of Western Ghats, Abbey Falls is a delightful place to visit. Later we head to the resort set amidst the Coffee plantation. Post lunch rest of the day to relax and unwind. Or for a leisurely walk in plantations, enjoying the serenity and tranquility of this place. Later you can enjoy dinner with some Coorgi delicacies.
After breakfast, we leave for Dubare elephant camp, a forest camp on the banks of the river Kaveri. Here you can watch, Elephants enjoy being bathed and scrubbed in the river by their mahouts. The entire activity of visiting this place is fun-filled. Later head to Madikeri to visit Omkareshwar Temple and Raja Seat for some spectacular views of Coorg landscape. It’s really enjoyable just having a leisurely stroll around this tiny hill station town. You can also see the people wearing the ethnic dress of the Kodavus, which is similar to the Arab garment. It is said that Kodavus are Greek or Arabic descent. You will get some good time to enjoy the traditional cuisine of this region in some popular restaurants, or we can organize the same in the traditional home with the local family. It can be a memorable experience. Late return to the hotel and the rest of the evening is at leisure in the beautiful resort amidst nature.
Stay: Coorg.
After an early breakfast, proceed to Wayanad, located in lush green paradise of Kerala. Which literally means ‘the land of fields’, Wayanad is a land of numerous spices, Wayanad now has a practicable programme of the spice cultivation. You can see plenty of spices and even Vanilla, throughout the hills of Wayanad.
En route, we take halts at two places. The first one will be the Tholpetty wildlife sanctuary, which is rich in a wide variety of flora and fauna. There is the best possibility of spotting animals like elephant, bison, spotted deer, bear, wild boar or even a leopard in this sanctuary.
The next halt shall be at Sree Thirunelli Mahavishnu Temple, at an altitude of about 900 m, in a valley surrounded by mountains on all four sides and beautiful forests. It is the only temple in the world where the devotees can perform all the rituals related to one’s life, starting from birth to death and life after death.
Later drive to our beautiful hillside property. In the evening spend time at beautiful Pookode lake. It is a natural freshwater lake brimmed with evergreen mountains. Boating facilities are also available here. This is one of the rare perennial water reservoirs.
Today you can start your day with some experience of the trek uphill. You will have to rise at early hours to visit Chembra Peak at an altitude of 2100 mts. The trek uphill begins modestly along tea plantations, And it takes 2 – 4 hours going up the peak, but naturally, it depends on your fitness. After approx. 45 mins to 1 hr from the starting point, with the gaped mouth, you stand on the banks of The heart-shaped pond, laid carefully on a bed of crispy green meadow. If you don’t want to reach the peak further, no worries. This place in itself is an epitome of enchantment, rewarding the visitors with a visual feast. Later start your return journey to your hotel for lunch and some time for rest. Later you leave for Soochipara waterfalls. Soochipara waterfalls is 3-tiered powerful waterfalls situated in the dense equatorial forest of Wayanad. In the evening, a leisurely stroll around the market shall be an enjoyable experience.

Today, the day at your disposal either you can dedicate this day for total relaxation or There are many available experiences if you wish to continue exploring this area. We can suggest some of them. A Spice Plantation visit can be a good option. Wayanad is a Home to several spices. Wildlife crazy can enjoy a morning wildlife safari in Muthanga wildlife sanctuary, a biodiversity hotspot. Or Half day tour of Uravu Bamboo Grove & Bamboo workshop. It is an Indigenous Science & Technology Study Center. Here the artisans and designers who create different amazing Eco-friendly Bamboo products and can also visit the Bamboo Groove. Or Nature lovers can visit the rain forest garden. And can have the interaction with the people who initiated the rain forest botanical sanctuary, Magical place for people who love nature and silence. Or Adventure lovers can indulge in an activity of trekking in Kuruvadweep or Kuruva Island. It is a 950 acre protected river delta, which comprises three densely wooded uninhabited islands and a few submersible satellite islands, which lies on the banks of the tributaries of Kabini River in the Wayanad district.

After leisurely breakfast check out and depart for Kozhikode, formerly known as Calicut. This will be our exit destination of the tour. En-route we visit Kapad Beach, where Vasco de Gama landed on 27th May 1498 with 170 sailors. Later drive to Calicut. On arrival check into the hotel. Rest of the is to visit some important places of tourist interest. CVN Kalari Institute where you can watch ancient martial art form ‘Kalari Payyatu’ and drive to Beypore to visit Centre for Creative Weaving to learn about an ageing craft woven with new colours. Here you may get a chance to participate in the weaver’s workshops. You can also buy cotton stuff created here. Next head directly to Mittai Theruvu (S. M. Street), the most popular shopping street of Calicut. And you must buy a famous Calicut Haluva. If you are not shopaholic, then also it’s really fun to have a leisurely stroll around this street. Overnight in Calicut.
After leisurely breakfast leave for train station / Airport to leave for Home Town / onward destination.
